Our Kids and Teens Krav Maga classes situated only a few miles from Lexington, Massachusetts, teaches and promotes situational awareness, how to interact with others in a non-confrontational way, along with de-escalation techniques, as well as Krav Maga. Our program puts aggression and violence in the contexts in which these age groups are likely to face. This is not a traditional martial arts program where participants learn forms and katas etc., but one where they learn to handle the types of situations, they may potentially find themselves in. Using proven training methods that have been designed to speed up the learning process, our program teaches kids and teens how to deal with aggressors straight out of the gate and equips them with the knowledge and skills to do so. Whilst we are teach kids and teens the skills of how to interpret potentially dangerous situations, recognizing when warning signs are present and how to de-escalate situations etc., we are also teaching them the physical techniques and solutions that they may have to use in order to disengage safely from an incident. Our message is one of disengagement rather than engagement, and all our solutions end with students getting to a place of safety.

Our program teaches students how to block and strike effectively, escape from common holds and controls, deal with multiple aggressors (kids and teens are more likely to experience such scenarios that adults, as they spend much of their social life interacting with others who are part of a group), in an age-appropriate manner e.g., we don’t teach joint-locks or joint manipulations until teenagers are 15, neither do we teach escapes from choke holds and strangulations until this age etc. Classes are dynamic and include a lot of partner work, so everybody is active and moving for the full class. Our program runs on Saturday mornings between 11:15 AM and 12:00 PM and is split into semesters that roughly follow the school year.
